After 150 years of performance and endurance, SORG has overcome many different challenges. Now we face our biggest one yet, as the world is forced to change before it is too late. Sustainability is the only answer, and SORG is determined to find it.

MISSION BY SORG is a commitment to develop the next generation of sustainable melting technologies that will slash emissions and help glassmakers to produce net zero glass at volume within the near future.

To support this journey, we will be investing heavily in research and development over the next few decades. Already paving the way today, we most recently launched a hybrid furnace – the CLEAN Melter^® – which can reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions by as much as 80%. SORG is also collaborating with partners on a range of initiatives to trial alternative fuels and explore innovative glass production processes.

This is more than just another sustainability campaign. This is a solid promise to empower the entire glass supply chain to remove as much CO₂ as possible from the atmosphere and ultimately reverse climate change.
